Winter can be a magical time, but it's also when our fitness routine faces the big chill. You know what I mean…
Let’s make this the year, where we Don't let the cold weather freeze our fitness goals. Here are some practical and fun ways to stay active during the winter months.
Indoor Fitness Adventures:
Online Classes: From hot yoga to HIIT bootcamps, there's an online class for every taste and preference.
GYM MEMBERSHIPS: these often offer classes as well as complimentary personal training sessions.
online coaching: a great way to get additional support for your new year’s resolutions is to pursue your health in totality with totality ⭐️
Dance It Out: Crank up your favorite tunes and have a dance party at home, alone, with friends, or your kiddos.
Household Chore Workout: Turn cleaning into a calorie-burning activity, sweeping and dusting is quite the sweat-inducing activity when you really get into it.😅
OUTDOOR EXCITEMENT:
Brisk Walking or Jogging: A great way to enjoy the winter scenery, it’s also incredibly peaceful if you get to do this at night too.
Winter Sports: Skiing, snowboarding, or even a snowball fight can be great exercise that doesn’t feel like exercise.
Layer Up: Dressing in layers to stay warm allows you to feel comfortable while still taking steps towards your goals.
Workouts at home:
Bodyweight Exercises: Push-ups, sit-ups, and squats require no equipment, adding in pauses and a slower tempo is a great way to still challenge your muscles!
resistance training: bands and smaller weights can be easy to obtain through fb marketplace, and I also have a free at-home program if you are interested in some guidance too!
mobility work: Keep your body flexible and mind relaxed through guided meditations and/or yoga classes online.
DIY Obstacle Course: Get creative with cushions, chairs, and ropes to welcome your kids in on the activity on those snowy days!
Winter doesn't have to be a season of inactivity, where we push our goals and intentions down the road. With a little creativity and motivation, you can turn the cold months into a fun, fitness-filled time - every little bit counts!
